Operating Procedures
  1. Communication with parents is conducted by email or telephone.
  2. Arabic language instruction takes priority over other subjects.
  3. The school director manages the school in accordance with these procedures and applicable regulations.
  4. An elected school committee is responsible for the operation of Écoles Arabes de Montréal (EADM).

The following applies to in-person schooling

  1. The addition of students and classes must be based on a review of the waiting list and the availability of teachers and classrooms.
  2. Students will be welcomed by staff between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. and directed to the teacher waiting for them.
  3. Parents are asked not to circulate in school hallways for safety reasons and to facilitate student supervision.
  4. The teacher and assistant in each class are responsible for student movement.
  5. Students must be in class by 10:00 a.m.
  6. The school’s exterior doors are closed at 10:15 a.m.
  7. Each level must have a permanent classroom identified by a number and under the responsibility of the same teacher.
  8. Teachers of other subjects must move from classroom to classroom for their lessons.
  9. Lunch begins at 11:20 a.m. for younger students.
  10. Lunch for the other students runs from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., followed by recess and prayer. Classes resume at 1:00 p.m.
  11. Students in each class must remain together and use the same cafeteria tables under the supervision of teachers and volunteers, who should encourage children to eat their lunch.
  12. Teachers, staff and volunteers should seat younger children at tables closest to the exit.
  13. Classes end at 2:45 p.m. for younger students and at 2:55 p.m. for the others.
  14. Parents pick up children between 2:45 and 3:00 p.m. at École Clément and between 2:45 and 3:15 p.m. at École Lavoie.
  15. The school must be vacated by 3:00 p.m. at École Clément and 3:30 p.m. at École Lavoie.
  16. The cafeteria will be used for meetings and other activities.
  17. A room is always available for administration meetings on the same floor as the classrooms.
  18. Any addition or modification to these procedures must be ratified by the EADM school council.
